February 25, 2020. Visit of the Erasmus + Digital SEED project to learn about AGROasesor and AGROgestor.
The Erasmus + Digital SEED project visits the INTIA headquarters to learn about digital tools in agriculture.
Yesterday we received at the INTIA headquarters in Villava (Navarra) the visit of 20 participant partners of the Erasmus + Digital SEED project together with experts in training and qualification in different agricultural branches of Italy, Slovakia and Belgium, interested in knowing the digital tools we use in agriculture
Ana Pilar Armesto of INTIA explained to the attendees the functionalities of the AGROasesor and AGROgestor platforms for the individual and collective management of farms and how these online platforms are part of new advisory systems linked to digitalization. The AGROasesor platform offers professional advice at the plot level and the AGROgestor platform at the collective manager level, with modules for Decision Support such as: Field notebook and traceability reports and administrative reports, Technical and economic management of the farm, Integration of the knowledge in soils, climate and remote sensing, Geolocation of farms through a GIS viewer, Modeling of crop phenology at plot level, based on weather data, Tools for the alert of classification of crops based on remote sensing images. In addition, the AGROasesor platform monitors crops with Sentinel-2 images: Within the framework of the INTERREG-POCTEFA program, the PyrenEOS project has developed a Decision Support Tool (DST) to monitor the warnings related to the vegetative development of Plot scale crops. This monitoring service is based on time series of vegetation indexes (VI) derived from Sentinel-2 images.
The ERASMUS + Digital SEED project
The objective of the SEED digital project is the development of a new qualification equivalent to FP GS in Expert in Digital Agriculture, and what has been done so far is the definition of both technical and transversal skills and abilities that will be required to work in a digitalized agricultural environment.
On the other hand, the project has a reception phase for students from these countries that are in their last year of studies equivalent to FP GS of agricultural branch. The idea is that companies in which they can carry out work related to digitalization or some technology, which could be for example the use of some computer tool, be incorporated into practices for three months.
