November 12, 2019. National presentation of the services and tools of the AGROasesor and AGROgestor platforms at the CENTER, in Madrid.
On November 12, 2019, the National presentation of the AGROasesor and AGROgestor Digital Platforms was held in Madrid at the National Center for Irrigation Technologies (CENTER).
The LIFE AGROgestor project is a European project coordinated by INTIA in which ITAP, NEIKER, IFAPA, More Badía Foundation, Prodevelop and AEMET partners participate. The main milestone of this collaboration is an innovative platform called AGROgestor that has support instruments for the collective management of agricultural crops, for the provision of advisory services in different environmental programs: efficiency in the use and integrated management of water and fertilization in vulnerable areas.
Thus, LIFE AGROgestor proposes environmental indicators (nitrogen surplus, carbon footprint, etc.) and economic indicators (gross margin, etc.) that allow the analysis and collective management of management areas. The project will also build a platform to analyze through indicators, real scenarios, strategic planning or climate change.
Within the framework of the “technical day on digital transformation in the irrigated agriculture sector”, organized last November 12 in Madrid by the general subdirectorate of irrigation and rural infrastructure of MAPAMA irrigation, Ana Pilar Armesto of INTIA, made the presentation of digital platforms for agricultural advice AGROgestor and AGROasesor. He explained how the AGROgestor platform has tools that align with the proposal of Tools of the European FaST program, of nutrient balance for the new CAP and that it is developing an environmental program management model that can be evaluated for the management of Eco-Schemes .
Next Marta Goñi explained the Rio Robo Environmental Program- Pilot program in Nitrate Vulnerable Zone whose objective is to improve the indicators of nitrate contamination in the Rio Robo basin and optimize the fertilizer contributions measured with the indicators of N kg per crop and per ton of product. He also explained the functionalities on Water Governance and Digitalization offered by the AGROgestor and AGROasesor platforms.
The day opened by Isabel Bombal Díaz, General Director of Rural Development, Innovation and Forest Policy, attended about thirty technicians and managers at the service of administrations, Irrigation communities, companies and professionals related to irrigation, and Rocio Wojski speakers participated as speakers Pérez Deputy Director General of Innovation and Digitalization, Andrés Montero Aparicio of European Research and Innovation Programs, Carolina Escobedo Lopez of the Subdirectorate General for Irrigation and Rural Infrastructure, Alberto Oikawa Lucas of HISPATEC, Manuel Pérez Ruiz of the University of Seville UNIVERSIDAD DE SEVILLA, and Jorge Martínez Guanter of AGROPLANNING.
The LIFE AGROgestor project, which has the contribution of the LIFE financial instrument of the European Community, will be developed between 2017 and 2021 and is a great opportunity for the development of sustainable services in irrigated agriculture, aimed at the governance of water, the efficiency in the use of irrigation water and the quality of water bodies.
